Dr Lucy Lu

MBChB FRANZCO

Lucy was born in China and immigrated to NZ with her parents at the age of 10. She graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School in 2014 and completed a post-graduate diploma in ophthalmology in 2017. She undertook her ophthalmology specialist training in Auckland and Waikato, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Uveitis at Greenlane Eye Clinic, Auckland. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).

Lucy is actively involved in research. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presents regularly at ophthalmology conferences. She is passionate about the teaching and training of future ophthalmologists and is involved in supervising trainees in the public hospital.

She is married to a ENT surgeon and together they have two young boys, which keeps them busy.

Lucy is accepting new referrals in general and acute ophthalmology, uveitis, medical retina, and glaucoma. She also consults in Mandarin.

She performs cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, as well as laser treatments of the retina and for glaucoma.
